Day 68 ~ Wings ~

I was coming home from grocery shopping and this bird was on the telephone wires. So I quick threw the groceries down and grabbed my camera to get this shot.

Day 67 ~ Lighthouse @ Night ~

I decided to post this picture of the lighthouse in Port Dalhousie. It was too cloudy to get the full moon and I was busy so maybe next phase. I am really starting to suck at posting pics everyday .

Day 66 ~ Port Dalhousie ~

Ryan and I went to Port Dalhousie today to watch the sunset. It's a cute little area in St. Catharines with nice little shops and patios. I tried to get a nice night image of the lighthouse but it turned out too dark so I will have to go back and try another day. Full moon tomorrow night....hope its a clear night!

I got this image late last night of the Peace Bridge lit up. I have wanted to get this shot for a while now and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. It looks like its been retouched but it hasn't been.

Day 59 ~ Flower Puff ~

I don't know the name of this flower, but it used to be purple but I find it more interesting without the petals. I'm off tonight to get some night photography images for class so hopefully they turn out!

Day 58 ~ Orange Lily ~

Last week I got some really great comments on my photos from my instructors so its nice to know that I'm improving. One of the assignments for this week is macro. This is my crappy blurred macro'ish' shot. I had my head in someones garden for this one so I tried to get this quick and I'm tired from working nights all weekend so this is all I got for today sadly...lol.

Day 54 ~ Balls Falls ~

I went to Ball's Falls today which is near Vineland,ON. I took a little hike to the falls that are cascading and gorgeous. I was able to get that nice smooth milky flow of water by slowing my shutter speed.

Day 53 ~ Shutter Priority ~

It is now Week 4 of my photography class and this week is shutter priority and composition. I have a bunch of ideas for this weeks class for photos but first I need to find the energy to get out and attempt to get them.

Day 52 ~ Family Love ~

So I need some work on my portrait photography for sure. I got some practice with Dawn and Aidan this weekend. I love this pic even though technically its not great because I cut Dawn's head off...ooops.

Day 50 ~ A Milestone ~

Its Day 50!!! I wish I would have taken a better pic. I left home today with my camera which has now become custom but forgot the battery:( So when I returned home later I was too lazy to go out again and just took a pic of flowers at the doorstep.

Day 49 ~ Aperture/Depth of Field ~

This week's assignment is aperture priority mode and controlling depth of field with blurring the background. I went to the Bird Kingdom after work to try to get some good images for my assignment. It didn't have the best lighting inside so most of them were blurry since I didn't have my tripod. This one of the tucon was one of my favourites, it is such a beautiful bird.
