Day 271 ~ IRIS & PUFF ~

The reason I love the botanical garden here in Niagara Falls is because it is always changing. I took images of these "puffs" last year when they were in bloom with purple petals. Next time I go back I expect these will be in full bloom. The iris is such a pretty flower as well.

Day 268 ~ Hummingbird Feeder ~

I got this cute little hummingbird feeder last week. I boiled up some sugar water and hung it up on my front porch. So far no hummingbirds but I'm hoping I will see one by the end of the summer. I'm pretty late putting one up because they have already migrated a while ago and have probably found their feeders for the season but I can still have hope. I would LOVE to capture a hummingbird at the feeder *** fingers crossed ***

Day 265 ~ Welland Canal ~

Our power was out for 24 hours so we decided to go back to the drive in theatre for a second night. We recently have turned our Karen van back into the beloved hippy van with a bed in the back, which makes it extra cozy. On our way back home we had to stop at the welland canal to let a large boat pass through. This image does not show it passing through because I liked this one better. It was hard to see much of the boat this late at night anyways.

Ryan and I went to the drive-in theatre this week and it happened to be a full moon as well.
I have wanted to try to capture a full moon for so long but have never had the right opportunity yet.
I used my 300mm lens and zoomed in as closely as possible. Even though it was night I did have to set my camera ev- as low as it would go to offset how bright the moon was.
I think it turned out decent but would have liked to get an even closer image.

Day 255 ~ Wind Chime HDR ~

Summer is here finally! I love sitting outside listening to the summer sounds including this wind chime. I haven't done HDR work in a while so it was kinda fun to try it again. I love the different colours of brown and textures in the wood.
