Day 93 ~ Charlottown, PEI ~
We went to Charlottown, PEI on Monday. It was really relaxing with cute little shops to look in and a nice waterfront area with sailboats and lobster fishing. We went camping right across the waterfront downtown so we had a nice view of the harbour. This is a cute pic of the beautifully kept townhouses downtown.

Day 89 ~ Rainy Halifax ~
One of our favourite things to do when we first get to a new city or place is go to a coffee shop to people watch and read the local newspaper. It was a rainy day but it did let up a bit for us to walk the city and see some sights. This pic was taken near the coffee shop on Barrington Street downtown Halifax.

Day 85 ~ Low Tide ~
Saturday I had a day off so we thought we would explore just the local area a bit. The top pic is of Joggins Fossil Cliffs which is one of the main attractions closest to Amherst. It has fossils that date back 300 million years and is world famous in the nerd world...lol. It's on the Bay of Fundy and when we got there the tide was starting to rise, earlier in the day you could walk out far and search for undiscovered fossils.
And the bottom picture was taken in Parrsboro which is on the Bay of Fundy as well. We got there at low tide which was kind of cool to see and be able to walk around where in 5 hours will be filled with water. We plan to go to the New Brunswick side of the Bay of Fundy in a few weeks.

Day 82 ~ Roadtrip Day #2 ~
The second day of our roadtrip we stopped in Boston for just an hour and walked around to see some sights. The city is actually really pretty with beautiful parks but unfortunately it was raining. I did get a couple of pics but I liked the ones from our second stop in Maine better so I decided to post those.
Our second stop on Wednesday was Portland, Maine. We had lunch on a deck overlooking the port in old downtown maine. Then we drove to one of the most photographed lighthouse called Portland Head Light. It had been raining all day and I was upset because I really wanted to get a nice picture of the lighthouse. Luckily as soon as we arrived to the light house the rain stopped, the clouds opened and the sunshine came out....it turned out to be a beautiful day and I think I got a pretty good pic too!!
We continued on driving from there and arrived in Saint John, New Brunswick late that night and got a hotel room for the night to get some much needed rest:)

I have wanted to take a roadtrip to Eastern Canada for a long time now so its always a great feeling when it finally happens! I can't wait to meet the people, see the sights, taste the food and take a ton of pictures!!!

Day 78 ~ Snap Happy with Mom ~
Ryan and I went to visit my mom for the weekend in Elmira. My mom and I went to the St. Jacobs Farmers Market on Saturday morning. It was fun seeing all the mennonites at the farmers market selling their fresh fruits and vegetables. You would think since I grew up in Elmira it would be nothing seeing mennonites but since I have been living away from home for so long now I find myself more fascinated by their lifestyle.
In the afternoon we went to the Elora Gorge with Ryan in the afternoon. We went for a little hike through the park and into town and took lots of pictures. The bottom picture to the left is my mom taking a picture of the pretty flowers and the one to the right is Ryan patiently waiting for us to be done our picture taking frenzy...lol.
